I found suburban K9 in a desperate search for something one on one. Our dog was not doing well in group classes. He is a hard headed breed (English Bull Terrier) and alpha male. He wanted to do what he wanted to do and not listen and spin circles while trying to be in charge of me. I had a few different companies come out and they didn't feel right. The second Gracie walked in and met Wesley and I right where we where with confidence and expertise with such a friendly personality I knew I found who I wanted. Gracie has been beyond amazing with getting control of Wesley and growing my confidence in handling him. Without Gracie life would not be looking as positive as it with Wesley. She has turned Wesley around in just a few short months and we achieved passing CGC today which I never thought would be possible but hoped for. This is only the start for us and Gracie is going to continue to train Wesley in advanced skills. If you are in doubt about doing this don't be. Gracie is the best trainer I have ever met and is very skilled in getting the dog to change and learn with so much love and kindness. The tailored training to our needs is just what we needed too. I owe everything to Gracie and will be forever grateful for what she has achieved with Wesley and Me. The transformation is shocking.

For those who are having self doubt about investing in your pet for training , stop having doubt and just do it because it is beyond WORTH it!! My corgi was giving me a hard time from not sitting, leash pulling, and other basic commands that I needed help with. The at home 1 on 1 trainings that were lead by Elizabeth and Twila were really helpful and gave me the guidance I needed to continue my trainings with my fur baby. Thank you again to Suburban K9 Dog Training, Elizabeth, and Twila for all the help! And like they say , "it's the really smart doggies that they get called out for" 😂

Great system. Great training. This is the first mini schanuzers we've had that won't run out of an open house door or open gate, and when in the front yard off-leash, won't enter the street unless commanded/allowed. Also, they will come when called (instead of racing through the neighborhood ignoring all shouting). Twila is super, and she addressed every concern and issue and was patient in training both the dogs and the humans. She is perfect with dogs and always on time. We recommend both her and Suburban K9.

Gracie R. is an absolute life saver when it came to finding the right person to help train our dog and help us be better pet owners. We had a bite incident with our rescue dog (pittie mix) and weren't sure if it was due to aggression or anxiety/fear. Gracie consulted us on a training plan for identifying our dog's triggers, methods of correction and repetition for obedience, and hands on training. Our dog listens to us now, is able to break fixation and much more tolerable of potentially stressful situations which is what we needed. There's something to be said about the mental comfort of having a highly skilled trainer who understands the quirks and nuances of dogs, and Gracie brings that to the table and more. 5 stars is not enough stars for the level of training our dog, and us by extension, received.

We were very impressed with Lizette and Suburban K9 for our two week board and train for our cavapoo pup. We had some concerns early on and they handled all of our questions with care. We felt confident our puppy would receive great training and attention from Lizette. Over the two weeks, she kept us updated via email with pictures and videos and descriptions of what commands they were working on. At the end of the board and train, our puppy was competent in the basic obedience commands and could heel and walk politely on a leash. The training made a huge difference in his behavior and now we have the tools and knowledge to maintain his new skillset. The follow up training appointments were invaluable. We are very happy we chose suburban k9 and highly recommend Lizette.
